In Luke 21:22, Jesus spoke of the impending judgment of Jerusalem. He said “These be the days of vengeance in which all things written must be fulfilled.” Did he really mean that in that judgment all prophecy would be fulfilled? If he did, (and he DID!) futurism is dead!
Two thousand years ago, Paul said that the goal of all previous ages had come! All futurist eschatologies say that we today, 2000 years later, are still waiting for the goal to come! There is something wrong!
If “All” in Matthew 5:17-18 truly means “all” comprehensively, then the Lord has come, the resurrection is fulfilled, and Israel remains God’s chosen, covenant people! If those things are not fulfilled, the Old Law remains in full force, and Israel remains God’s covenant people!
