Gary DeMar will be engaging in a public debate with Dr. Michael Brown over the nature of Israel and so-called “replacement theology.” Anyone familiar with the Premillennial view knows that one of their favorite arguments is that preterists, whether partial or full, teach a Replacement Theology that rips God’s promises away from Israel without being fulfilled.Contrary to this, true preterism teaches that God’s promises to Israel were always intended to be fulfilled in Christ and the church. See my book, Like Father Like Son, On Clouds of Glory, for a good discussion of this.
The format of this debate will feature more informal engagement in discussion rather than an academic structure.
